Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and managing pharmacy operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The patient’s medication schedule should be reviewed and any suggested modifications should be communicated to the prescribing doctor, ensuring the doctor’s initial order is correct before dispensing.
- Educate and counsel patients about drug therapy, preventing drug-related illnesses, and using medications as prescribed.

- Handle the computerized records of prescription drugs given to patients in hospitals. Fill, verify, and distribute doctor-issued outpatient and inpatient prescriptions.
- Preparation, packaging, dispense, and delivery of unit dose medication in accordance with standard procedures and techniques.
- Keep an eye on and manage the medication floor stockpiles that are kept in the nursing homes and wards.
- Develop medication formulations, dosage forms, strengths, and packaging that are beneficial for patient care and approved by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee, but not commercially accessible.
- Assemble all sterile supplies, including as TPN, IV admixture, and chemotherapy injections.
Make sure there are no out-of-date or useless medications in the hospital by conducting routine inspections of all drug storage areas.
Complete any additional duties that your line manager assigns you.
