Zahr Freighters is seeking a dedicated and organized Logistics Assistant to support our logistics team in Dubai. Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination: Assist with coordinating shipments, including scheduling, and tracking. It also includes managing incoming and outgoing goods to ensure timely delivery.
- Managing Documents: Prepare and handle shipping documents which include invoices, packing lists, and customs forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and update inventory records to maintain accurate stock levels, helping prevent shortages or overages.
- Communication with Vendors and Clients: Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clients to keep them informed of shipment status and resolve any logistics-related issues.
- Order Processing: Assist with order processing by inputting data into the company system, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring prompt dispatch.
- Customs Compliance: Work closely with customs brokers to ensure all imports and exports comply with local and international regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and address any delays or issues in the supply chain, providing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Cost Tracking and Reporting: Track logistics expenses and prepare reports to assist in cost analysis and budget management.
- Warehouse Coordination: Assist in coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure products are stored correctly and inventory levels are accurately maintained.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the logistics team, including filing, data entry, and handling routine communications.
Requirements:
- Education: A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous but not required; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with logistics software is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of records and shipments.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and proactively work towards solutions to avoid shipment delays.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company’s logistics operations.
