Job Summary and Purpose

We are seeking a skilled financial professional to coordinate and manage financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control within our Fleet Technical department. This role will focus on budget performance analysis, ensuring cost control and accurate reporting across areas such as budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budget Development & Management: Support the creation of Fleet budgets and ensure correct cost allocations, while providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Expenditure Monitoring: Track operating expenses for the Fleet department to stay within approved budgets and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Cost Analysis & Reporting: Conduct regular cost reviews, analyze expenditures, and generate reports to highlight cost-to-complete estimates and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Fleet Technical management to gather data necessary for cost control, while also providing guidance on policies and cost-saving practices.
  • Policy Compliance & Improvement: Develop and enforce compliance with company financial policies, and continually improve cost control procedures for the Fleet department.
  • System Development: Create and maintain systems to standardize cost control processes, improve service quality, and increase efficiency within Fleet Technical operations.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Address emerging cost control issues promptly to maintain alignment with company financial policies and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in cost accounting or financial analysis, ideally with experience in the shipping industry or in a similar cost control and finance role.
Skills
  • Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving tools.
  • Ability to initiate and manage cost-saving measures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
