Key Responsibilities
- Transport and Delivery: Safely transport of goods, different documents, and packages to assigned locations on time, by following specific delivery instructions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Do regular checking of the vehicle, including oil, tyre pressure, and other basic maintenance, to ensure it is always in safe driving condition.
- Route Planning: Planning efficient delivery routes to avoid delays, taking traffic, weather, and other factors.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring that items are handled with care and secured properly for transport.
- Documentation: Maintain delivery logs, records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays encountered during each trip accurately.
- Customer Service: Provide good and professional interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Vehicle Cleanliness: Conduct regular cleaning and inspections of the vehicle to ensure the vehicle is kept clean.
Requirements:
- Valid UAE Driving License: Applicants should hold a current and clean light vehicle driving license for the UAE.
- Experience: Previous experience as a driver, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Knowledge of Dubai Routes: Familiarity with routes of Dubai, and traffic patterns.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading packages.
- Punctual and Reliable: Time management is an important skill and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Basic Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow delivery instructions; basic English proficiency is required.
