Job Description:
The Accounting Manager – Group Financial Audit will lead the financial audit process for the Group, focusing on delivering accurate, compliant, and timely audit outcomes. Reporting to the Finance Controller for Financial Reporting & Controls, this contract role requires deep expertise in financial auditing, IFRS, and regulatory standards. This position is essential in managing the relationship with external auditors and collaborating across departments to achieve audit and reporting objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Audit Leadership: Oversee the full scope of the Group’s financial audit, managing all stages of preparation and execution.
- External Auditor Liaison: Serve as the main contact for external auditors, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to information requests.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare Group and statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Support month-end processes and facilitate a smooth, efficient year-end close.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Act as the key audit contact for Finance, Legal, Projects, and other departments to align and meet audit objectives.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies, addressing recommendations from internal audits as necessary.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA).
- Experience: 8-10 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally within a multinational company or audit firm.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant financial regulations.
- Audit Expertise: Proven track record in managing audits, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in financial reporting and compliance.
- Project Management & Collaboration: Exceptional project management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organization in handling financial data.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Excel, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
salary :
AED 15,000 to 18,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
