See what happens when Tobias, the lion dad, meets his cub for the first time.!!
Lion dads don’t really get along well with their newborn offspring. But Tobias, the lion dad at Denver zoo, is melting hearts all over the internet, where he crouches down to meet his little one. Born on July 31, the 12lb cub has only spent time with his mom, Neliah, in the zoo. Now the authorities at Denver zoo have decided it’s time for the cub to meet and bond with its dad and half-sister behind the scenes at Predator Ridge. The cub is soon to make his first public debut in one of the outdoor habitats.
“He’s all the things you might expect of a lion cub: playful, curious, and energetic!”: Jake Kubié, the director of communications at Denver Zoo
While people in Denver are familiar with the lion family, the name for the newest member hasn’t been finalized yet. Authorities are urging fans to come up with names for the little one. The choices for the name are:
Meru – A mountain in Tanzania,
Moremi – Game reserve in Botswana
Tatu – Swahili word for the number three(the cub is the lioness third baby) The zoo encourages everyone to vote and donate $1 for the three finalists.
