Senior Sales Executive – Based in Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose

 To formulate and implement a market oriented activity plan by leading all out door sales activities with new and existing business for Emirates with the aim of achieving the set revenue targets at the lowest possible cost.Job Outline:

  • Achieve the set revenue targets by maximising the best yield / volume mix whilst determining the market potential and exploiting market opportunities with all available resources
  • Achieve U.A.E sales objectives in close co-ordination with Corporate Support Unit / Agency Support Unit based on local market conditions and the defined U.A.E sales policies
  • Evaluate, initiate, implement and control all new direct sales activities aiming at improving the revenue and traffic results whilst being pro-active in contributing ideas on trends and developments towards achieving long and short term objectives
  • Execute, as per the agreed sales strategy of maximum corporate account focus, the established call plan of 30 calls a week to maximise / organise field activity for minimum travel and maximum calls using the available time effectively. Ensure all call reports are submitted to the designated departmental head on time, in order to ascertain call effectiveness and improve sales focus on a weekly basis
  • Actively investigate lost sales opportunities to learn and avoid such re-occurrences while continuously build prospect lists to take appropriate action and improve corporate customer base
  • Evaluate monthly revenue and traffic results per distributor and take corrective measures as required to retain / sustain fair share thus revenue. Evaluation must encompass proper analysis on revenue on total and per cabin, individual routes, yield per cabin type, class mix per cabin type, MIDT per route/region (for current and future months) and trend analysis as compared to previous years
  • Secure proper introduction of client support unit staff to our ever expanding list of corporate customers to enhance direct customer / corporate contacts therefore moving away from traditional distribution channels (i.e. Agents) and initiate direct sales activities to reduce sales cost and increase revenue / market share
  • Counsel customers, agents and travel co-ordinators on sales related issues thus ensure productivity at all times
  • Ensure proper display of current POS material in prominent locations of travels agencies/corporate houses to generate maximum market awareness together with actively participating in all U.A.E Sales organised marketing events
  • Actively pursue to improve sales techniques through corporate / agent Multimedia presentations thus position yourself as a true professional

Qualifications & Experience

 Commercial/Sales.Revenue Optimisation: 5+ Years

  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent
  • Sales experience in airline or airline related industry
  • Thorough knowledge of market place
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and skilfully negotiate business deals to the advantage of the company
  • Outstanding service and customer oriented behaviour
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and as a part of a team
  • Valid UAE driving license essential
