  • Job Purpose

  • To operate and monitor satellite bus and payload and radio frequency subsystems effectively and efficiently based on the recommended operating procedures to meet the company objective of satellite system high availability
  • Principal Accountabilities

    • Supporting Spacecraft Engineers in executing commands to the spacecraft
    • Informs Supervisor and responsible engineers in any subsystem in space section of any alarm associated with the spacecraft.
    • Monitors the status of the ground equipment hardware and software and prepare reports in case of hardware failure to RF engineer as well as Operation Manager
    • Support engineers on phone to overcome any alarm or problem with the system
    • Logging all shift activities in the Satellite Operation Center
    • Carry on any operational request from engineers in space section
    • Record RFT daily reading
    • Carrying on the scheduled activities in daily operation plan
    • SOC access control – Operators responsible for ensuring that no unescorted unauthorized people are in the SOC at any time
    • Prepare Shift handover form
    • Responsible for all SOC operational workstations
  • Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma in relevant Electrical Engineering discipline
    • Further training in satellite communications technology, earth station technologies, antenna control subsystem and RF subsystem
