General Purpose

Manages, controls and continuously improves financial performance within a specific function/process or defined business site/account.
Individual should be able to work independently, communicate openly, coordinate and collect information from different departments within the company and with different departments at customer end, analyze and challenge the forecasts where necessary, should be able to translate roll out plan into financial numbers by using required tools, fulfill SOX requirements, be proficient with Microsoft office with great emphasis on Excel.

Position Description

Key duties/responsibilities of Project Controller / Analyst

Planning:
• Coordinates preparation of plan (sales, costs, gross margin, inventory, receivables) through gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information from different departments.
• Assist in the preparation of long-term financial forecast of revenues and expenditure.
• Provide support to the Project Manager in planning, managing, and monitoring major projects from concepts through implementation.

Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and guidelines
• Support in preparing audit evidence for annual and internal audits
• Support in uploading evidences for SOX compliance
Reporting
• Prepare monthly presentation material for a variety of reports covering budget status, forecast reports and other management reports.
• Prepare monthly variance report, actual vs plan with associated footnotes.
• Provide figures for all stakeholders (Top Management, Project Management, etc.)

Controlling:
• Evaluate and monitor the progress of the project against the plan and raise flags where necessary.
• Monitor revenue and cost, review for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor business unit and business line profitability are as per the contract
• Monitor receivables and cash-in and allocation of cash against receivables
• Work with project team to ensure accurate resource plan is in place
• Monitor completeness of  purchase orders, invoicing and inventory with logistics
• Keep track of active project budgets and ensuring that project expenses are strictly monitored and any overrun or savings properly approved
• Create and maintain contracts in SAP
• Support period end activities to ensure project financial closing deadlines are met
• Liaise with contract manager to categorize the items which are in contractual dispute

Position Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting or related field and 2-3 years experience.
• Preferably an individual with clear understanding of  project controlling life cycle with a focus on project planning including Work Breakdown Structure and project schedule development, project change control, issue & risk management practices, and project documentation control.
• Understanding of SAP accounting package is a plus
• Working knowledge with most Microsoft Office applications. (excel advanced level is a plus)
• Skills to communicate both orally and in writing ideas, concepts, recommendations, technical and complex information clearly and concisely in a timely manner, at a level consistent with the audience.
• Skills to systematically analyze situations and issues, identify options, draw logical conclusions and sound inferences, determine and recommend practical courses of action using innovation, creativity, good judgment and strategic thinking.
• Strong organization skills including demonstrated tenacity for following up with team members and leadership on outstanding items.
• Strong general management skills and sound knowledge of business case development, fiscal planning and contract management.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a cooperative working relationships with peer groups
