    About Your Job:

    In this role you must manage and successfully deliver assigned IT projects and solutions in compliance with project standards and processes of the IT Department, to meet defined business requirements within agreed timescales and cost. You will lead Projects throughout the project phases from initiation to closure; support and enhancement of the complete solution. You must manage the delivery of assigned IT projects/IT solutions co-ordinating with business users, other departments and suppliers. This includes solutions built in-house, acquired packages and IT Application Support.  For each project you must ensure that project plans are realistic, maintained and properly resourced. Delivery should be within agreed time and cost. Projects must be carried out through defined phases, fully complying with QR IT processes and procedures.

    You must ensure that solutions meet agreed requirements and business expectations must be maintained and documented at all times. This requires that all solutions are adequately tested (functional, non-functional, performance and integration tested) before User Acceptance Testing. Risks should be assessed and/management strategies must be designed. You must ensure timely and accurate project information and reporting are provided to IT management and business. You must ensure that assigned applications are adequately supported. You will manage the application support teams/suppliers to analyse system faults, assess severity levels, and provide solutions. Perform business analysis activities to analyse user requirements and define solutions meeting those requirements and document system specifications. You must contribute to Business – IT strategy and budgeting of assigned business units.

    About You::

    To be successful in this role you must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with airline domain knowledge. PMP certification will be an added advantage. You must have at least 7 years of relevant experience in leading medium to large IT projects with expertise in Project Management tools. 

    You should also have excellent communication skills with experience in applications development, implementation and support management skills. A good understanding of IT Infrastructure Management, Customer Support and Service Delivery is an added advantage. Programme management, Project management, Vendor management and Team management are essential.
