About your job:
Reporting to Manager Financial Control, the Manager Business Finance- will be responsible for assisting MFC in the preparation of financial and strategic planning, assist in monitoring variance against the budget, evaluating opportunities/risks, and implementation of cost controls for the Commercial and Support Divisions within Al Maha Airways. As a leader, the role will assist staff members in providing value-added, meaningful, and insightful reporting and analysis for the Executive Management of Al Maha Airways.
Accountable in assisting Manager Financial Control in presenting an objective view of the financial situation and provide sound recommendations for the allocation of resources in the most efficient way to achieve the business goals and objectives Assist in monitoring monthly revenue/expenditure variance for the Operations division on an on-going basis and ensuring that actual expenditure remains in line with plan. Lead investigation when variances are significant and taking necessary control action as required Accountable for evaluating opportunities/risks by providing sufficient information to facilitate fair evaluations. Introduce a way of thinking culture that causes people with the authority to recommend projects to first consider their value, risks and relative priority as a fundamental element of submitting the project proposal. Establish new and review existing policies & procedures across all assigned areas to ensure internal controls are maintained to minimize risk to the company.
To be successful in this role you will need to be Bachelor Degree or Equivalent, Finance/Accounting CA/CPA/MBA qualified. You will have a minimum of 7 years job related working experience, a minimum of 3 years in an airline management position and 7 years Finance experience in planning and analysis. You must have strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances, understand business cycles and their impact on the profit and loss account. Excellent communication & presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization. Knowledge of cost centre accounting, preparing budgets and forecasts Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow, Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills, Ability to foster teamwork among team members. Knowledge of the airline/aviation operations.
